We at Pebble Designs believe that at times of struggle the best, and most creative ideas pull through. This was true with this project and perfect timing, too, during the Coronavirus lockdown.
We were briefed by IDS / K4D on a solution to remove the need for Excel spreadsheets to record evidence in international Coronavirus research. Integrating directly with Zotero, a tool to help you collect, organise, cite, and share research, we produced a database search website that was clean, intuitive to use, and follow the research material’s schema providing a scalable architecture for future development.
At the time of launch, a BBC news report published a data loss at Public Health England due to an old format of Excel being used and thus increased the reputation of this project as being an innovative solution to a problem widespread in research.
